Super Smash Bros Crusade is available for download on your pc, and it came out on the 15th of March 2015 so it's relatively new! Even though it's new there's already soo much work put in it! As of version 0.9.0, over 60 characters and 24 stages are available! Super Smash Bros.' Lack of depth will scare off most hardcore fighting gamers, but N64 nuts and party-oriented gamers will really enjoy it Plus, SSB's a great family game for a smashingly wholesome good time. Super Smash Bros.' Great character graphics are offset by annoying camera zooms and some overly cutesy stages. Since the release of Super Smash Bros. On the Nintendo 64 in 1999, fans haven't been able to get enough. With its impressive multiplayer capabilities, combining a solid balance between characters and an intuitive control system, over five million copies ended up being sold. The Project Crusade team is proud to present Super Smash Bros. Crusade version 0.9.2! We hope you enjoy the many improvements we worked on over the course of the past year, from Fox and Marth’s resprites, New Stages, Many new Items, and numerous gameplay and engine changes! Super Smash Bros. Universe is a non-profit fan-game by TheOfficialCherrim of the Super Smash Bros. It has many characters from all four Smash games, with additions to newcomers. It's current version is v2.6.1. This game, similar to Super Smash Bros. For Wii U, supports 8-player Smash, but can go to an extent of 12-player Smash.
Hello everyone of SBA, today I just wanted to share with you guys my personal favorite top 5 fan-made smash bros games.

Please keep in mind that this is MY personal favorite list and not a popularity list.

Starting off at number 5, I'm gonna have to Brawl minus. (Also known as Brawl-). Brawl minus was one of the first big Brawl mods our there.
It mostly loved by the fan-base because every character was finally balanced, instead of such wide tear gaps. They did this by buffing every character to the point that everyone was OP, making everyone technically the same.
This would often lead to some amazing battles, but brawl minus never really took off in the competitive scene.

In fourth place is the awesome smash bros calculator app, Super Smash Bros Open!
This game is super fun to play on my Ti-84 Calculator when I'm bored In school! It's an open source program, and anyone can work on it. The creator has stopped working on it himself, but if you create a character he'd update the file and add your character in!
The characters availible so far are Fox, Falco, Jigglypuff and Meta Knight. You can play alone against CPu's or together against someone who also has the game using the link cable.
▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄
In third place is the legendary famous SSB Brawl mod, Project M. Otherwise know as Project Melee. This modded version of Brawl was released on February 7th 2011 for those who wanted the SSB Melee feel on Brawl.
Project M brought back Mewtwo and Roy, both of which were present in Melee but not Brawl. Project M 's character selection screen allows the player to select Zero Suit Samus, Sheik, Squirtle, Ivysaur, or Charizard individually, rather than having to switch to them from another character.
I personally haven't played Project M yet, and that's why it's so low on the list. I have heard great things about this game though, and it is sometimes played professionally at tournaments so for that I give it some credibility.
▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄
Flashing itself in at a clear second place, is the awesome online game Super Smash Flash 2.
It's available to play anywhere on any browser, all you need to play it is an up to date flash player. It's even available for download for those of you who can't access flash player, or want to play it offline.
There's a whole roster of characters available ranging from Mario to Marth. Not only that but there are even those anime characters everyone wants in like Goku, Naruto and Ichigo. Even Black Mage and Bomberman get a chance to shine!
Amazing list of stages such as Peach's castle and Dream Land (64). The creators even made some new stages for fan service such as Konoha, Hueco Mundo and a N3DS Stage.
It barely ever lags, and my laptop is literally a piece of thrash. On a game such as Minecraft offline I get about 8-15 fps, but SSF2 doesn't even come close to lagging!
▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄
And saving the best for last, in first place we have the super awesome Super Smash Bros Crusade!
Super Smash Bros Crusade is available for download on your pc, and it came out on the 15th of March 2015 so it's relatively new!
Even though it's new there's already soo much work put in it! As of version 0.9.0, over 60 characters and 24 stages are available! That's amazing for a game made from scratch by three guys (they later became know as Project Crusade).
Best of all this game barely lags, and if you hate playing games like smash on the keyboard you can hook up your Xbox 360 controller to it, and play with a more console feel to it.
And for all you guys that want Shantae in smash, here's something to look forward to, Shantae is gonna join Super Smash Bros Crusade in the next update.
This game is just super awesome to play whether it's online, single or co-op! I highly recommend you guys go and check out this game!!

Until next time, c ya!
The most popular Smash fangame on the internet has received its biggest update yet – 3 years in the making!
Are you ready to experience…
SUPER SMASH FLASH 2 BETA?
SUPER SMASH FLASH 2 BETA?
NOTE: This game is still very much a work in progress. If you’d like to assist with the development, please click here.
…Super Smash what?
– Super Smash Flash is back! You do remember us, right? The original Smash Bros fangame, most popular for content and difficulty, rather than gameplay, Super Smash Flash was…well, Super Smash in a Flash. It showed very few similarities to the actual Smash Bros gameplay as it was our first game, yet still somehow attracted large crowds of people. Now, with the knowledge we’ve picked up along the way, we’re striving for the utmost quality this time around. Super Smash Flash 2 is not a game made by one person in a month, like SSF1. Super Smash Flash 2 is a game made by hundreds of people over several years. It will be one of the biggest Smash bros fan-games – no. One of the biggest Flash games, to date. We promise.

Is this actually made in Flash?
– It is, and one of our major product goals here is to show that Flash is underestimated and underappreciated. If we can make a console-quality game with controller support, online mode, and 10 years worth of custom art, so can you. No other programming interface would allow us the kind of convenience and workflow that we have with Super Smash Flash 2 without custom tools. Flash is incredible for creating video games and animations with a low barrier to entry and an incredibly simple interface. (tl;dr stop calling for Flash to die, jerks)

Why does your game have a Wikipedia page?
– I have no idea but we’re really excited about it.

Can I use my gamepad?
– If your OS recognizes it, and you’ve got drivers… yes! Please note, at this time only the downloadable version of the game (to your right) supports gamepads due to shortfalls and discrepancies in support between the browsers.

Can you add [insert character here]?
– Unfortunately with a game of this scale, we need to plan things out ahead of time so that we can finish the game at some point. At this time we cannot accept content suggestions for this reason. Sorry!

How can I support your development?
– We are not accepting any monetary compensation on behalf of Super Smash Flash 2. The best way to support us is to keep playing. It’ll make us happy. Hopefully it’ll make you happy too.

WHERE IS THE FULL VERSION?!
– Super Smash Flash 2’s Beta release is our final full-featured update to our public release before the full game. We’re hard at work and well on our way, and we allow you to experience our progress along the way – that is the point of Super Smash Flash 2’s demos.

Are there combos in Super Smash Flash 2?
– Absolutely. Super Smash Flash 2 has low landing lag, high hitstun, and high gravity, leading to an exhilarating combo game with lots of mixups that will still feel right at home to those coming from any of the official Smash games – even ones where combos don’t exist. This is one of our major project goals.

Which Smash game is SSF2 based off of?
– Ah, I see you noticed that SSF1 was based off of Melee, huh. Well, think of SSF2 as a Frankenstein. We’re smashing together a “Greatest Hits” type deal with our engine, feel, and aesthetics, but we’re also taking our own creative liberties as well. There’s no definite answer to this question!

Well, in terms of engine?
– SSF2’s engine is Frankenstein’d too. At first glance, it’s very reminiscent of Smash 4, actually; some of the more obvious engine aspects will make that clear right away (with the low landing lag, high-ish hitstun, high gravity, etc.) But it goes deeper than that, and this will become more apparent as the game matures and we begin activating our other engine aspects.

Do characters have complete movesets?
– Absolutely. Some characters have placeholder animations at the moment, but they will all be remedied before the full release.

Does this work on Mac/Linux?
– SSF2 runs better on Mac than on most Windows computers, actually! As far as Linux, you can always play our game using Chrome until we get an executable finished up.

What about L-Cancelling or (insert some complicated Smash Bros-related acronym here)?
– Probably not included. As far as L-cancelling though, SSF2 has globally reduced landlag (some call this ALR – Aerial Lag Reduction), and instead of being move-specific, it’s mostly character specific with a few exceptions, ranging from 3 to 12 frames (at 30 FPS). If we gave you L-cancelling, you probably wouldn’t need to use it often.
